What will my photos look like?
We have many different ways we capture maternity photography. Please visit our gallery for examples of what we can do for you!
How long should the shoot take?
2 hours is generally the time we expect we’d need you to stay. We’ll spend the first 15 mins settling you in and going over the shoot; then we’re ready to get started. However, please note that we will stretch the session out until we’re satisfied you’ve got the photos you deserve.
Can I include any other family members, like my husband or my other children?
Yes definitely. It really adds something when your important people are included in the shoot.
If there will be multiple people in the shoot, we strongly recommend wearing similar clothing. In particular, same pants types and same top colours.
For instance, dads wear short sleeve shirts or button-up dress shirts. Mums can also wear short sleeve button-up shirts, but basic singlets also look lovely. White or light/neutral colours are best. How you do this is entirely up to you.
Avoid wearing anything that has graphics, bold stripes, logos or prints, otherwise it will distract for the purpose of the shoot, which is you, your belly and anybody else you want to include in the shoot.
For bottoms, jeans look great. But really, as long as the trousers are similarly toned and coloured without any patterns, they will look fine.
You retain copyright to the images. This is consistent with the Australian copyright laws for domestic photography, this being, the person who commissions the work owns copyright. Please note however, by using our services, you are giving us consent to use your images for our promotional purposes, which may include (but not limited to) our website, blog, social media, submissions to competitions and portrait, event or wedding magazines. This is common practice across the Australian photography industry. For more information, please visit the Australian Copyright Council website, or consult your own professional legal advice.
When should I schedule my shoot?
Best time is when your bump is nice and round. We’ve found that 36 weeks is a great time for this, but it really depends on you and how big you want to be in your shoot.

What should I wear?
Where will my shoot be?
We can do the shoot at our home studio at Heritage Park, 4118.
However, you can also get amazing results having your shoot outdoors. We’re very familiar with local parks around Brisbane and Logan (having 3 kids ourselves), and can choose an appropriate location for you. As we’d be carting our props and gear with us, we ask for an additional $50 to cover our costs.
Also, outdoor shoots are best an hour or two before sunset (assuming you don’t want to get up an hour or two after sunrise). This means that in summer time, we’d be shooting from approximately 5pm to 6:30pm.
Lastly, please note that privacy can be an issue when having photos taken in public. If you do not think you’d be comfortable with people watching you as you have your photo taken in these circumstances, it is probably best to confine the shoot to the studio.
How can I prepare for the shoot?
How long does it take to process my photos?
From the date of shoot, it will take 4-6 weeks for the photos to be processed and uploaded to a secure gallery on our website for your review. If you wish to have your photos sooner, we ask an additional payment of $75.
