Your wedding day is a huge, lifetime event, which we take very seriously.
We‘ll get to know you beforehand, help you plan, offer honest and considerate advice, research and scout the location, attend rehearsals, watch weather forecasts and even plot the journey of the sun to see how and when the light falls on your chosen day.
If you have any questions leading into the day, just ask!
On the day, we’ll be prepared. We’ll know where we have to be, and at what time. Our gear will perform.
We’ll be fresh-minded and eager to get amongst it.
We’ll use our experience and people-skills to help you enjoy your day and see your plans through. We’ll offer ideas and improvise when plans need changing, put you and your guests at ease, and direct and manage things if need be.
We’ll work with your other service providers, be respectful and courteous, and by the end of the day, you’ll be comforted by your experiences with us.
We reside in Brisbane, but we'll go far and wide for your wedding.
Most importantly, you’ll love your photos!
Do you have my date available?
The best way to know this is to ask! Please contact us.
How long have you been in business?
We've been shooting commercially, including weddings, for 5 years. We've had successful results a wide range of situations (studio portraiture, promotional calendars, marathons, music events/theatrical performances, and other personal events such as Christenings, Engagement parties, 1st birthday parties, etc) in a variety of different and sometimes difficult lighting conditions (dimly lit churches and wet weather!).
How would you describe your photography?
Our preferred style is to be traditional and creative, with a dash of photojournalism.
What is your working style?
Throughout the day, we make the best effort to blend in the background, and shoot natural, candid shots. There will be times where we may offer a quick, helpful suggestion to get the best possible photo for the conditions at play.
Of course, the ceremony is almost as sacred to us as it is to you, and we’ll never get in the way or interrupt it. Rather, we’ll plan and prepare our shots with you before the day, so that we can be best placed to get the shots without disturbing the event for you and your guests.
Do you have a portfolio that I can view?
Yes, of course! Please go here: wedding porfolio.
Should we meet before the wedding?
Yes, definitely. It’s important to be comfortable with each other, and to know that we’re all working from the same page. Therefore, meeting each other, and continuing to discuss the day leading into the event is highly recommended.
Can I give you a list of specific shots for the day?
Yes, please. We’re happy to work with you to ensure you get the photos you want! Also, we find it works best if you can prepare a list of special family members or friends that you want to have photos with before the day, and provide this to us.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes. We have multiple camera bodies, lens, batteries and memory cards.
How will you be dressed?
We always present ourselves professionally, and unless otherwise requested, will be attired in semi-formal clothing.
If my wedding site is out of Brisbane, do you charge a travel fee, and what does that cover?
Additional costs may apply depending on the distance from Brisbane to the event.
Is it okay for other people to take photos while you are taking photos?
Of course! All we ask is that other people taking photos are doing so non-commercially, and that we get the opportunity to take the relevant shots first up. We can assure you that if we do need to ask for space, we will be polite and respectful.
How do you plan and prepare for the day?
We‘ll get to know you beforehand, ask you for plans and itineraries, research and scout the location, attend rehearsals, watch weather forecasts and even plot the journey of the sun to see how and when the light falls on your chosen day.
If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay?
We’ll stay as long as you need us.
Do you include engagement photos in your packages?
Yes. It’s a great way of getting to know each other, and seeing if you like how you look in our work!
Do you provide retouching, colour adjustment or other corrective post-production services?
Yes. Each photo you receive from us will be a high-resolution JPEG (300DPI), and be subjected to basic retouching, including sharpening, vibrancy, contrast and colour adjustments. More complex post-production techniques will be utilised as well depending on the details we’ve worked out with you.
How long after the wedding will I receive my proofs?
Following the wedding, we’ll undertake post-production on your wedding photos, and upload them to a secure gallery on our website for your review. The gallery will be able to be shared with multiple users as well. This process ordinarily takes 4-6 weeks. If you need your photos sooner, please let us know!
Do you ask for deposits, or offer payment plans?
Yes! We’ll work this all out with you. Our packages are flexible, and tailored to your needs.
Who has copyright to the images, and will you use the photos in your advertising?
You retain copyright to the images. This is consistent with the Australian copyright laws for domestic photography, this being, the person who commissions the work owns copyright.
Please note however, by using our services, you are giving us consent to use your images for our promotional purposes, which may include (but not limited to) our website, blog, social media, submissions to competitions and portrait, event or wedding magazines.
This is common practice across the Australian photography industry. Again, our packages are flexible, so if you have any concerns or questions, please let us know.
Otherwise, for more information, please visit the Australian Copyright Council website, or consult your own professional legal advice.
Can I purchase the digital RAWs?
Yes. We can discuss these details when we meet you!
